It’s always an adventure going into the Pryor Mountains and spending time amongst the wild horses/mustangs. One adventure in late July, “The Battle” broke out. It was a hot, arid afternoon and tension was high between the two mustangs. It started as a nudge here and a kick there but quickly turned into a full blown war. I took several images during their encounter. At one point they were both up on their hind legs. The force when they landed on the dry, hard ground caused an explosion of dust that engulfed them in a magical moment. It was quite a scene to capture!
Like every adventure the time came to return home and go through the hundreds of photos I had taken on this trip. There were several good fight shots but I was (and still am!) obsessed with the images when the horses caused the earth to explode! Being there, I knew what caused the explosion, but looking at the image with a “blind eye” (seeing it through the eyes of someone that wasn’t there), I realized that my favorite image would not tell the whole story. It was dust and horses with no real connection to the cause of the dust. The scene did create the perfect opportunity to ghost a few fight images into the dust, telling the rest of the story of “the Battle” in this creative montage using three of the photos from this encounter!

A laminate coating to protect against UV Rays is included to give you more options on where to display your Metal Art without worrying about the sunlight causing fading. The coating helps with dust and scuffs. Just a soft cloth and water if it needs it will keep your metal looking fresh. Please do not use chemicals (not even Windex) as it will deteriorate the finish over time. All of my metal prints five foot and under arrive ready to hang (or stand). Just order and get your wall ready! When it arrives there are three steps – unpack, hang, and enjoy for years to come. CANVAS

These canvases are also created here in the USA but go through a different process. They arrive rolled and will need to be finished by a framer of your choice. PAPER
Your image will be printed on lustre paper, which is a very popular paper option. It is a semi-gloss paper with vibrant colors. These Photographic Prints have a longevity of 100 years in typical display conditions. Paper prints arrive with no mat, backboard or frame therefore will require finishing to display. A note about finishing your image and mats: I recommend matting your image when framing, especially if you will be putting the image behind glass. Besides the visual appeal, the mat keeps your print away from the glass so it does not stick to the glass and ruin your image. Your Fine Art Print will be carefully packaged for shipping. This is a high-resolution image with NO watermarks and digitally signed by Artist.
