Description
This is our new favorite!
It is ultra-moisturizing and smells that perfect manly smell of Patchouli mixed with Nutmeg.
I used elk from this season that was harvested and rendered down the fat into tallow. Tallow is SO good for your skin and this bar is very tallow-heavy.
Tallow contains the same fats/lipids found in human skin. These days/lipids are so beneficial as they create a permeable barrier that can prevent bad stuff from entering, as well as maintains moisture, flexibility and structure of cells. Tallow is believed to prevent dryness at the cellular level.
Tallow is loaded with vitamins A, D and K, as well as antioxidants.
Tallow and sebum (the oil in our skin) share many same lipids/fats. It can allow the tallow to be absorbed deep in the layers of skin.
Tallow has been used for thousands of years because…it works! It is an intense moisturizer that helps the skin retain natural moisture. It’s non-greasy and won’t clog your pores and 100% natural.
Raw goats milk soap!
I milk my own dairy goats, mostly for my little boy as he is lactose intolerant and also very anemic and the goats milk is much easier on his tummy. Our girl, Lilly, has blessed us with so much milk that I’ve been able to start a little business to help bring in some money on the side.
So, I am able to offer handcrafted, hand poured soap from hand milked goats!
This bar was a lot of fun to make and I incorporated activated charcoal and bentonite clay for the camouflage affect.
